Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account information: email address, name when provided, authentication identifiers, and sign-in provider information.
• Your content: journal entries, prayers, reflections, notes, highlights, saved verses, content you choose to share, and optional faith or emotional signals you provide or that are derived from your content for personalized Scripture features.
• App activity and preferences: feature interactions, searches, reading history, likes or feedback, language, time zone, and notification settings.
• Device and app information: app-instance or installation identifiers, push notification token, device and operating-system details, app version, and approximate region derived from network information by analytics providers.
• Subscription information: product, entitlement, transaction, renewal, and subscription status. Apple or Google processes payment-card details; we do not store your full card information.
• Support communications: information you include when you contact us for help.

How we use information

• Provide account access, syncing, Scripture reading, journaling, saved content, and notifications.
• Generate and personalize Scripture recommendations and reflections based on the content or signals you choose to provide.
• Manage subscriptions, restore purchases, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, and keep the service reliable.
• Respond to support requests, communicate important service or policy changes, and comply with law.

Bible Life is a spiritual reflection tool. Personalized content is not medical, mental-health, legal, or other professional advice.

Service providers and sharing

We do not sell personal information. We use providers that process limited information to operate Bible Life, including:

• Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and server-side functions.
• Apple and Google for sign-in, app distribution, purchases, and platform services.
• RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement management.
• AI and infrastructure providers used to produce personalized Scripture recommendations and related app features.
• Analytics, crash, and notification providers used to understand performance, deliver requested notifications, and fix errors.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transaction with appropriate safeguards. If you intentionally publish or share content, people who receive the link or can access that surface may see the content you shared.

Data retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as needed to provide Bible Life, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You can request account deletion in the app, delete individual journals or notes without closing your account, or email us to request deletion of other eligible personal data. The scheduled account-deletion flow includes a 30-day period in which you may cancel; after that, the account and associated personal content are scheduled for deletion. Some records may remain when required by law, necessary for fraud prevention, or stored temporarily in secure backups.

See our Account and Data Deletion Policy for the current steps and scope.

Security

We use access controls and technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No online system can guarantee absolute security, so keep your device and account credentials secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Your privacy choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of certain processing. You may also:

• Change app and notification permissions in Bible Life or your device settings.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store or Google Play account.
• Delete content or request account deletion through the app.
• Email us to exercise a privacy right. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Children's privacy

Bible Life is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.

International processing

Bible Life and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Privacy laws may differ by location; where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Bible Life changes. We will post the updated date here and provide additional notice in the app or by email when a change is material and notice is required.
